Firearm Legislation

In 2004, the United States Congress allowed the lapse of the assault weapons ban. 

In 2022, it's time to re-up and strengthen the ban on weapons. 

• Assault Weapons are for highly trained combat, they have no business being purchased for use out side of a war zone, as such, we need to end the production and sale of such weapons. Automatic weapons with high capacity magazines included in this.
• Enact universal Background Checks, that include evaluations for soundness of mind. 
• Enact a 10-day waiting period for all purchases, establish purchase limits on ammunition, and automated registration of firearms to state driver's license. 
• Make illegal any form of 3D printed weaponry, including design and production.  

While I believe it's our right to protect ourselves, our property and our communities, I do not believe in the right to bare arms includes a universal right to deadly weapons, nor to unlimited stockpiles of ammunition. Gun violence in America is prevalent due to our increased ability to obtain weapons easily. We have the moral responsibility to enact laws that protect citizens across all states.
